This Time Last Year: Fond ANZICS Memories

This time last year Impact Display was busy managing 15 stand installations across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hobart and Perth. We actually miss the hectic schedule and the midnight room service club sandwiches 😉.

One of our favourites from October 2019 was the MSD stand at The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS) trade show. ANZICS is the leading advocate on all intensive care related matters, leading the world in intensive care research through its Clinical Trials Group and patient databases, including the Adult Patient Database, the Paediatric Intensive Care Registry and Critical Care Resources.

The brief:

– MSD (The Client) booked a central, island space and it was critical to their strategy to utilise an open flow plan, appealing to visitors from all directions.

– The Client dedicated stand space for a unique catering item in order to increase visitor attraction consistently throughout each exhibition day.

– A key show objective for The Client was to sit down with their customers for extended discussions. This required building in a space that was comfortable and provided mid-level privacy to facilitate these discussions.

– The client wanted to showcase their latest product campaign with large signage and vibrant colours.

Our Build

We recommended a build structure with a slim framework, and utilising a unique open shape, all with the goal of creating intrigue and balancing that with creating a welcome feel.
The slim framework was designed to hold fabric printed banners which created the canvas for large format prints with no seams/joins in any of the print. Printed fabric also gave us the best opportunity to accurately colour match to The Client’s campaign coloured images.
We designed in large information/image panels and tied them together with an overhead arch frame that encouraged flow through the stand, and natural flow to the different areas/seating.
We debuted a highly popular HERO Catering solution. Knowing the plans from other exhibitors would focus on the tradeshow stalwart of barista coffee, we decided to break the mould. We built a fresh donut maker into the stand, offering all visitors hot cinnamon donuts made within minutes right on the stand. The fluffy, cinnamon aroma attracted attention from all over the hall.
