Dementia Australia Fundraising

Last month the 4th annual Bondi Beach to Berry fundraising bike ride set off to raise more funds to support the work of Dementia Australia. The event continues to grow bigger and better every year, and the continual success is owed in large part to the invaluable support from sponsors and volunteers.

Impact Displays is a proud sponsor of the event, particularly in 2019 when, the stakes were raised. A group of 30 dedicated riders continued on from Berry all the way down the NSW south coast through to Brighton Beach in Victoria.

The gruelling total of 1,160 kilometres was crucial in taking the fundraising total past the $200,000 goal set at the start of the year. Growing the fundraising total 4 times greater since the events inception 4 years ago is an incredible achievement and Impact Displays is so proud to support the event and every single one of the participants since 2016.

An estimated 447,000 people have dementia in Australia and an even broader network of carers and family are affected by this disease every single day. Dementia has become the leading cause of death among Australian women, and remains the second leading cause of death for all Australians (ABS 2017).

Currently there is no cure.
